  • 10:00 AM - 1-2-3 Play With Me
“1-2-3 Play With Me” is a five week program for children ages 1 to 3 years and their parents and/or caregivers. Families are invited to the Library once a week to play and learn in a fun and relaxed environment. Developmentally appropriate toys are the heart of the program and community experts will be on hand to visit with parents and/or caregivers. Community experts can teach strategies for healthy child development, offer early literacy tips, facilitate early interventions, or simply be a sounding board for parents and/caregivers to address concerns. The schedule is as follows: April 2nd: Early Literacy April: 9th: Speech, Hearing & Language Development April: 16th: Child Development April 23rd: Nutrition & Health April 30th: Music & Play Due to a limited number of space available, families must be able to commit to attending all five sessions and must register in advance of the April 2nd program. Siblings age 5 and younger are welcome to attend. If you have questions, please contact the Children’s Desk at 417-623-2184. This program was made possible in part by a generous grant from the Bramlage Family Foundation. The Joplin Public Library is a proud member of the Family Place Libraries network.
