  • 4:00 PM - Stories of the Gods: Mythology Book Club
    Join the children's department for a five-week mythology book club. The club will read and discuss Jean Holub's "Heroes in Training," as well as play games, do crafts, and participate in other mythology-related activities. Children will take home a copy of Holub's "Heroes in Training 4-in-1." A small snack will also be offered. The mythology book club is open to children in grades 3 through 5. Registration is required and space is limited.

Saturday, October 21st

  • 10:30 AM - Explore and Play Monster Madness
    A fun, hands-on event for families with busy toddlers and preschoolers! Families will explore specially created exploration stations that encourage adult-child play and teach key early literacy skills. Suggested age: 1 to 5 years

Monday, October 23rd

  • 10:00 AM - 1-2-3 Play With Me
    1-2-3, Play With Me is a five week program for children ages 1 to 3 years and their parents and/or caregivers. Families are invited to the library once a week to play and learn in a fun and relaxed environment. Developmentally appropriate toys are at the heart of the program and community experts will be on hand to visit with parents and/or caregivers. Community experts will teach strategies for healthy child development, offer early literacy tips, facilitate early interventions, or simply be a sounding board for parents and//or caregivers to address concerns.
