Tuesday, April 21st

  • 4:00 PM - Dog Day Afternoon
This is a special program that allows independent readers in K-5th grade to practice their reading skills by reading to certified Therapy Dogs. The Library supplies the books (and the dogs), and the children are the storytellers. Registration takes place at the Children's Desk on the day of the event.

Wednesday, April 22nd

  • 9:30 AM - Toy Check-In with United Way Success by 6
Toys that were checked-out from the United Way Success by 6's mobile toy lending library on April 8th are due today. Melissa Duma from Success by 6 will be in the Children's Department collecting toys, visiting with families, and handing out a copy of a free book to the families who participated. Please note: Families that cannot make it to the Library on the day of the check-in, may return the toys at an earlier date to the Children’s Department. This program is funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
