		Academic Search Elite Provides core resource of scholarly information for academic Institutions containing full text for more than 2,100 journals and over 1,700 peer-reviewed, full-text journals.
		American National Biography Offers portraits of more than 18,000 deceased men and women -- from all eras and walks of life -- whose lives have shaped the nation. This database can only be accessed on computers in the Joplin Public Library.
		Ancestry Library Edition A genealogy research tool that provides instant access to a wide range of unique resources for genealogical and historical research including more than 1.5 billion names in over 4,000 databases, records from the United States Census, military records, court, land and probate records, vital and church records, directories, passenger lists and more. This database can only be accessed on computers in the Joplin Public Library.

		Biography In Context Biographies of over 1.4 million persons in the area of literature, science, business, entertainment, politics, sports, government, history, current events, multicultural studies, and the arts. Coverage includes over 120 Gale reference sources and 280 full-text magazines.
		Book Collection Nonfiction - High School Edition A research database for students containing searchable full text for more than 2,450 popular nonfiction books including high interest titles on careers, health, life skills, ethnicity, disabilities, adventure, sports, technology, biographies, music, science, history, civics and more.
		Book Collection Nonfiction - Middle School Edition A research database for students containing searchable full text for more than 3,100 popular nonfiction books. The database includes high interest titles on careers, health, life skills, ethnicity, disabilities, adventure, sports, technology, biographies, history, science, women, civics and more.
		Book Collection Nonfiction - Elementary Edition A research database for students containing searchable full text for more than 1,300 popular nonfiction books. The database includes high interest titles on animals, weather, holidays, adventure, sports, Native Americans, United States, Canada, biographies, nature, civics and more.
		Business and Company Resource Center (Gale) Detailed company and industry news and information from company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, and periodicals.

It is designed to support the information needs of patients, and to foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. Content covers all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine.
		Digital Sanborn Maps, 1867-1970 – Missouri Detailed property and land-use records from towns and cities in Missouri. To use this database outside the library please contact the Reference Staff at the Joplin Public Library 417-624-5465.

		eBook Collection (Ebscohost) formerly NetLibrary eBooks are electronic versions of 6000+ printed books including many general interest, reference, technical, and how-to books that can be viewed online on any PC connected to the Internet.
		ERIC The Education Resource Information Center provides citations to education literature and resources.

		Gale Directory Library Online access to the Gale Encyclopedia of Publications and Broadcast Media and the Encyclopedia of Associations: National Organizations of the U.S. Search for information on organizations in the U.S. and for newpapers, magazines, television and radio stations, and other media in places all over the world.
		Gale Legal Forms Provides a wide selection of Missouri-specific (and multi-state) legal forms across the most popular legal areas. Includes real estate contracts, wills, pre-marital agreements, bankruptcy, divorce, landlord tenant and many others. 		HeritageQuest This online database is an essential collection of unique material including the U.S. federal census images and indexes from 1790 to 1930, more than 20,000 book titles, including nearly 8,000 family histories and over 12,000 local histories, in addition to more than 250 primary source documents such as tax lists, city directories, probate records, and more.
		Home Improvement Reference Center Full text database designed to assist homeowners in do-it-yourself home repair, maintenance, and remodeling projects including plumbing, outdoor, woodworking, electrical, and decorating projects.

		Lawchek Basic law information database covering the 50 states. The database includes legal forms, information on federal agencies and lawyers, and selected form letters. This database can only be accessed on computers in the Joplin Public Library.
		Learning Express Library A Library of test preparation materials and interactive practice exams based on official tests including the GED, ACT, ASVAB, Advanced Placement, and GRE. Users get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of results. Users must have a Joplin Public Library library card.
