Coming Up: Programs for Teens

Tuesday, September 8th

  • 6:00 PM - Teen Night
For teens in grades 6-12. We'll do something different each month--play games, make crafty things, watch movies, etc. We will also have snacks! No registration needed.

Saturday, September 19th

  • 1:00 PM - Lunch Bunch Teen Book Club
For teens in grades 6-12* Each month we'll read a book nominated for the Truman Readers Award, the Gateway Readers Award, or the Teens' Top Ten Award. Teens should bring their own lunch to each meeting, but we'll have drinks and dessert. Thanks to a generous donation from the Freeman R. Johnson Trust, the first 7 - 10 teens at each meeting will get a free copy of the next month's book. No registration needed. *The Truman Readers award nominees are recommended for teens in grades 6-8; the Gateway Readers Award nominees are recommended for teens in grades 9 - 12; and the Teens' Top Ten Award nominees are recommended for teens ages 12-18. Readers should be advised that these recommendations are based on maturity level, not reading level.
  • 3:00 PM - Teen Anime & Manga Club
For teens in grades 6-12 We discuss current manga reads, watch anime episodes, and do other fun things. We also have snacks. No registration needed.
