Fax Services are free to all at the Reference Desk.
Users may receive faxes at 417-624-5217, a cover letter is recommended.

Interlibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan service is available at the Reference Desk and through the library catalog. The service is restricted to Joplin Public Library card holders. Requests to borrow books, periodical articles, or other materials from lending libraries are turned in at the Reference Desk and may involve a fee.

Exam Proctoring and Notary Services

The library is able to proctor exams for users in distance education programs. Exam proctoring is a fee-based service and it is provided by appointment only. For notary services please call 417-624-5465 for availability of the Notary Public.

Low Vision Readers

The library provides equipment for users who are sight impaired or have trouble reading. The low vision reader is available all hours the library is open.

Copiers and Scanners

Joplin Public Library provides self-service equipment for patron use on a first-come first-served basis: Photocopiers (coin-operated); Microfilm/fiche Reader/Printers (digital); and Scanner (Email, Save or Print).
